My mom has always been an amazing cook, but also an amazing baker. I can remember every birthday; my siblings and I would always ask for a decorated cake. She had so many Wilton cake pans that she used every single one at least once if not twice
Her talent is something beyond just being a baker. Mom loves to create and to dream, she is that definition of someone who made their dreams come true. As a family, we have been through heartbreak, and she used that heartbreak to create Shortcakes. Mom always strives to make everyone happy, and she does that with food. People say that way to a person’s heart is through their stomach, and she hit that nail right on the head.
My parents use their vast knowledge of food and business to serve hot, fresh, delicious, and quick food/service. To take a bakery from in home, to a brick-and-mortar and then to add a food trailer is crazy!
As their daughter and to see how far they have come, it gives me joy in knowing that they are happy and doing what they love. I love to see my mom doing what she loves on the bakery side of things, and I love to see my dad using his talent of food and speed to grow my mom’s business. I can’t tell you how many times people come from hours away just to try some goodies, and some pulled pork topped with mac-n-cheese. It seems to be the best food people want to get at events.
All I can ask of anyone who is reading this, is that they try at least 1 new thing at my mom’s café/food trailer every time they come visit. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
